Vietnam: Rescued Dogs Left To Starve
Rescued dogs locked in a house and left to starve to death. Trinh Nguyễn and her girlfriend lover are now exposed as thieving scammers who deliberately caused a house full of dogs to slowly starve to death over a period of months, while actively fundraising for donations. Trinh Nguyễn and her girlfriend pretended to be animal rescuers to scam people out of money. They’d go to the house once or twice a week and see their desperately starving dogs eating carcasses of their dead buddies.
Neighbors alerted the landlord because of an unbearable stench wafting from the house. By this stage Trinh Nguyễn and her girlfriend were well behind payments in their rent and amenities. When the landlord arrived she was horrified. She unlocked the gate and front door to stench which made her gag.
Starving dogs staggered past the landlord in a stupor and ran out onto the road. Some dogs were too ill to even stand. One female dog was heavily pregnant and in the final stages of distemper. Dead and rotting carcasses were strewn around the rooms, in various stages of decomposition. There was a lone pig screened off by himself, screaming with hunger. The floors were covered in dog poo and urine. It hadn’t been picked up for months; if ever at all.

60 Dogs In July and Only 6 Dogs Saved
In July Trinh Nguyễn and her girlfriend had around 60 dogs and 30 cats. A week ago there were still 20 dogs in the house when the front door was opened. Dog carcasses were scattered about. Some were partially eaten by surviving starving dogs trying to stay alive.
Reports say only six dogs have been saved and five are possibly dying from distemper and parvo. The sixth dog is a Dalmation dog who’d been vaccinated a year earlier and somehow ended up in the hands of these women. Fight Dog Meat has agreed to help the Dalmation be exported abroad, and at our request the Dalmation has been admitted into Dr. Nghia’s hospital. The other five dogs are receiving medical treatment elsewhere.
Hoarding Is Not Rescue
The world of animal rescue is open slather for unscrupulous scammers to fool people. Sadly Vietnam has its share of scam rescuers too. Hoarding is not rescue. If you’re not sure whether to donate to a “rescuer” I suggest you go to their shelter and see it with your own eyes. If you’re unable to do that, ask for a new video and look at the condition of the dogs at that ‘shelter.’ Look at the conditions the dogs are kept in. Ask yourself if you would keep your own pet dog there?
Do the dogs receive medical treatment? Are they spayed and neutered, or are they un-sterilized and breeding unwanted litters of puppies and kittens? Are female dogs being constantly raped by un-sterilized male dogs?
Many ‘shelters’ only feed a diet of boiled white rice. Its incredibly unhealthy for animals. Many ‘shelter’ dogs are riddled with lethal blood parasites and worms. Death by blood parasites is horrendous. Blood parasites are the number one killer of dogs in Vietnam. It is treatable by a qualified veterinarian.
What type of vet does the ‘shelter’ use? Is it a qualified veterinary surgeon, or a self taught amateur who you would not let near your own pets? Self taught amateurs have no right in performing surgical procedures or administering medical drugs. They have no clue what they’re doing!
Rescue means relieving pain and taking the animal to a better place. It does not mean prolonged suffering. Rescue means qualified medical care, proper food, water and shelter.
