Loaded cages of terrified meat dogs are thrown from the top of the truck to smash onto the concrete ground. Dog’s legs or tail bones shatter on impact if they fall through the iron bars, as the cage lands with a thud onto concrete. Countless dogs are left severely injured in agony, even before being forcibly extracted from the cages. A number of dogs in the video are wearing house collars. Some were sold to the butchers by their owners, who just wanted to get rid of them.
Its reported the dog market in the following video is in Lizhou City, Guangxi Haijxing farmers wholesale meat and poultry market.

It’s a common belief across Asia that dogs are the next life reincarnation of previously evil people. Some people believe this justifies dogs being tortured and cruelly treated. Many people say dogs should pray to have a better next life, to be reincarnated not as a dog.
The following is from a Chinese animal lover who shares local perspective about dogs:
“There is nothing wrong with being animals. Maybe these beings committed some unforgivable sin in their previous lives. Reincarnation for animals in this life is to repay the sins of the previous life. They have received due retribution reincarnation as animals; please be kind to them. We cannot guarantee that in our next life we can still be a man. So do good deeds, treat all beings well, and treat ourselves well. Encounter stray animals. If there is a warm place please give them a small corner. They’re afraid of cold, afraid of hunger and afraid of looking for food in the cold. They want to have a temporary warm corner to avoid the winter. Because we’re higher than animals we should know more on how to treat them.”
Fight Dog Meat will continue to bring you reports from dog and cat meat countries and the wonderful work their rescuers are doing despite no animal protection laws. Turning away or sitting quietly does not end the trade. We’ll keep exposing what is taking place to these animals. We’re helping local volunteers have a louder voice on a world platform. Ultimately it’s the voice of the country’s own people whom their government will eventually be forced to listen to, for positive change for animals.
