A terrified Pug dog cowers in the iron cage, desperate for mercy while dogs in the cage next to the butcher cage lay paralyzed in terror.


They’re forced to watch their cage mates brutally killed and skinned directly in front of them. They can see and smell death and know there turn is next. A Golden Retriever is being skinned on the right hand side of the video. This brutality is taking place in Anhui Province, on the pedestrian walkway Huaibei city, in broad daylight.

Many dog butchers in the meat trade refuse to sell live dogs to rescuers. Animal lovers in Anhui were on scene trying to save the dogs in the video below, but the butcher laughed at them. He would not allow live dogs to be removed.

Anhui Chinese animal lovers are calling for other Chinese locals across China to phone Anhui government and complain. Anhui Province has a high consumption of dog meat, including from officials. [Anhui is the same province that are friends the Haven Sanctuary are located in.]
