Vietnamese dog butcher slaughters dogs for dog meat. He packages freshly killed dogs and ships them to dog meat cafes and restaurants. Parked motorbikes with large crates tied onto them hides the gory cargo inside the crates. They are filled with slaughtered dogs. While the dogs are most likely initially packed in ice, the pungent stench of stale dog meat would be horrendous when the boxes are opened up after being in the hot sun for hours.

International tourists would never realize they are walking past containers filled with freshly slaughtered dogs. Vietnam’s dog and cat meat trade is everywhere across Vietnam. Most tourists don’t see the dog/cat meat trade in Vietnam because they don’t recognize the signs of what they’re looking at. They can’t comprehend what they’re seeing so they blink it away and look at something else.

 

Fight Dog Meat charity has to be careful what we post and say on Facebook. Yet many Vietnamese dog and cat butchers have no restraint against them as they promote their dog and cat slaughterhouse operations across social media.

Fight Dog Meat will continue to bring you reports from dog and cat meat countries and the wonderful work their rescuers are doing despite no animal protection laws. Turning away or sitting quietly does not end the trade. We’ll keep exposing what is taking place to these animals. We’re helping local volunteers have a louder voice on a world platform. Ultimately it’s the voice of the country’s own people whom their government will eventually be forced to listen to, for positive change for animals.
