The truck carrying thousands of distressed dogs, cats and rabbits has crashed after traveling only 100 miles. Thousands of dying dogs, cats and rabbits were crammed in cages for days, stacked on top of each other without air circulation [see video 1.] Many were dead and dying of suffocation, heat stress and dehydration on the massive truck in Zhongmu, Henan Proivince. Local animal lovers called for help from near by animal lovers, but were not able to stop the truck leaving the loading site.

The fully loaded truck sat in the warehouse for another day, as the distressed dogs, cats and rabbits slowly died crammed in their dark little tomb crates, stacked on top of each other. The truck pulled out of the warehouse and started driving down the road.
Two hours into the trip the loaded truck crashed and thousands of dogs, cats and rabbits in their little cages were strewn over the road, terrified, smashed and injured. This occurred in Luohe City, still in Henan Province. Local animal lovers fled to the scene to try and save as many animals as possible, while calling for urgent back up from more local animal lovers. What a complete disaster!

Chinese law demands truck drivers have legal documents for ‘every live animal’ loaded on their trucks. Without individual documents it is illegal transport. Police can be called, however, it depends if money will be accepted to allow the truck to drive away fully loaded.
Henan province has so much terrible animal cruelty but with no animal protection laws in place, no one is held responsible. Fight Dog Meat is posting this video to expose what is happening and help local animal lovers have a louder voice on the world stage.
Fight Dog Meat will continue to bring you reports from dog and cat meat countries and the wonderful work their rescuers are doing despite no animal protection laws. Turning away or sitting quietly does not end the trade. We’ll keep exposing what is taking place to these animals. We’re helping local volunteers have a louder voice on a world platform. Ultimately it’s the voice of the country’s own people whom their government will eventually be forced to listen to, for positive change for animals.
